N64 Solid Grey Controller

- The solid grey controller is considered the most common. It was often bundled with alot of consoles

- It is part of the solid 6 Set, that was available shortly after the consoles release separately.

- Next to the more popular American and Japanese packaging, there were different language box variations all over Europe.

- The solid black controller is almost equally common as the grey one. It is part of the solid 6 Set, that was available shortly after the consoles release separately

N64 Solid Green Controller

- The solid green controller is still considered very common, could be a touch rarer then the rest of the set. It is part of the solid 6 Set, that was available shortly after the consoles release separately

N64 Solid Yellow Controller

- The solid yellow controller is also still considered very common, it tends to show up eualy often as the green one. It is part of the solid 6 Set, that was available shortly after the consoles release seperately

N64 Solid Blue Controller

- The solid blue controller is also common, but shows up less often than the others. It is part of the solid 6 Set, that was available shortly after the consoles release separately

N64 Solid Red Controller

- The solid red controller tends to be the rarest of the solid 6 set but is still considered very common. It is part of the solid 6 Set, that was available shortly after the consoles release separately

- Different language box variations in Europe include: Germany, UK, Italy, France, Spain, Holland, Austria, Scandinavian Regions and more

N64 Mario Kart Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: JAP

- This controller was only released separately. It came in the rather common Mario Kart Game Bundle and resembles the typical game colors

- It was also available in a very rare packaging variation, which looks similar to the Japanese solid black packaging, only this one is half black and half grey like the controller itself.

- There are rumors that the controller was also bundled with very early Japanese Charcoal Consoles.

N64 Clear Purple Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: EUR / USA / JAP / AUS

- The Clear Purple Controller is translucent. Similar to the solid variations this earlier version was also available in a variety of European language packaging.

- It was also bundled in several "Atomic Purple" console bundles. Missing on the picture is the NFR Version with the text "Atomic Purple" on it

N64 Clear Blue / White Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: EUR / JAP

- Another translucent controller, clear blue on top and clear white on the bottom. Unlike the clear purple this controller was released In Europe in only one single packaging variation and has 6 languages on one box.

- The Controller was available separately and bundled with a console in Japan and in Europe. America never got a release

N64 Clear Red / White Controller

- Release Regions: JAP

- Unlike the clear blue / clear white this version was only released in Japan. Bundled with a Japan only console or available separately. Therefore it is considerably rarer then its clear blue counterpart but within Japan still rather common

- Often confused with the color pink

N64 Extreme Green Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: USA

- The Extreme Green Controller is the rarest of the North American Set and was only released in USA

- Whilst it did come in a console bundle and is available loose quite frequently the actual box is very sort after and very hard to find

N64 Jungle Green Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: EU / USA / AUS

- This controller is part of the Funtastic Series, consisting of 6 colors. While they were all available in Europe loose with their matching consoles, they were never released separately.

- The USA blister packaging is very unique and finding these today sealed is a question of pure luck. The Jungle Green tends to be the most common in USA

N64 Ice Blue Controller

- Release Regions: EU / USA / AUS

- This controller is part of the Funtastic Series, consisting of 6 colors. While they were all available in Europe loose with their matching consoles, they were never released separately.

- The USA blister packaging is very unique and finding these today sealed is a question of pure luck

-The Ice Blue tends to be the almost equally common as Jungle Green

N64 Smoke Black Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: EU / USA / JAP

- This controller is part of the Funtastic Series, consisting of 6 colors. While they were all available in Europe loose with their matching consoles, they were never released separately.

- The Smoke Black blister is considerably rarer than the first two

- Also released in Japan, but not Australia.

N64 Grape Purple Controller

- Release Regions: EU / USA / JAP / AUS

- This controller is part of the Funtastic Series, consisting of 6 colors. While they were all available in Europe loose with their matching consoles, they were never released separately

- The USA blister packaging (missing in the Image) is rarer than other colored blisters

- Next to the Australian Version it was also released in Japan

N64 Fire Orange Controller

- Release Regions: EU / USA / AUS

- The Fire Orange is part of the Funtastic Series. While they were all available in Europe loose with their matching consoles, they were never released separately.

- The USA blister is very rare and finding these today sealed is a question of pure luck. The Fire Orange is the second most expensive blister

- In Australia this one is the most common of the 4 released there.

N64 Watermelon Red Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: EU / USA

- Lastly, the Watermelon Red is part of the Funtastic Series. While they were all available in Europe loose with their matching consoles, they were never released separately.

- It was never released separately outside the USA. Finding these today sealed in blister is a question of pure luck. The Watermelon Red is by far the rarest and most expensive of all blisters

N64 Gold Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: UK / USA / JAP

- The Gold Controller was part of alot of console bundles loose, for example in UK but also USA and Japan

- However it was only available only in USA in blister packaging and Japan in two versions

- The white packaging was the normal retail version and the gold one to commemorate Zelda, also available in stores though.

- The Japanese gold ones are very easy to find, even in Japan

N64 Pikachu Darkblue Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: Only with Console

- This Pokemon Controller was only available with the matching console in EU / USA / AUS. It is dark blue on top and yellow on the bottom and says Pokemon. See Console Variations for more information.

N64 Pikachu Lightblue Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: JAP

- This controller was released with the Japan only console and also separately

- It is a lighter blue on top than the "non-Japan" version and yellow on the bottom

- On the controller itself are lightning graphics and the word "Pikachu"

N64 Pikachu Orange Controller

- This controller was released with the Japan only console and also separately

- It is orange on top and yellow on the bottom. On the controller itself are lightning graphics and the word "Pikachu"

N64 Battle Set Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: Only with Console

- This Pokemon Controller was only available with the matching console in UK and AUS. It is yellow on top and dark blue on the bottom and says Pokemon

- It is the exact opposite of the Pikachu Dark blue Controller and came with the N64 Battle Set

N64 DK Banana Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: USA

- This Controller is 1 of 3 available through Nintendo Power Magazine. It was available as part of a Donkey Kong promotion

- Only available loose this controller stands out through its unique banana tips style ends

- It is considered an official Nintendo Item since Nintendo published the magazine "In-House" at the time.

N64 Nintendo Power 100 Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: USA

- Next up this controller was available as part of a promotion, commemorating the 100th issue of the magazine

- Only available loose this controller stands out through its unique Nintendo Power 100 logo at the top.

- It is considered an official Nintendo Item since Nintendo published the magazine "In-House" at the time.

N64 Millennium 2000 Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: USA

- This Controller was available as part of a Nintendo Power promotion commemorating the year 2000

- Only available loose this controller stands out through its unique silver design with black buttons. It is indeed the only controller with differently colored buttons

- With only 1000 made It is the rarest of the 3 Nintendo Power Magazine Controllers

- It is considered an official Nintendo Item since Nintendo published the magazine "In-House" at the time.

N64 E3 Golden N Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: USA

- Often considered to be the holy grail of N64 controller collecting is the E3 Golden N Controller

- It was only available at E3 1997 in Atlanta by winning the StarFox 4 Player Competition on stage.

- Nobody knows how many of these were given out

- It is considered to be an official Nintendo Item, since it was given out at their own event. Officially there are currently 12 of them in collectors hands.

N64 Daiei Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: JAP

- This Controller is translucent orange on top and dark translucent black at the bottom

- The black is different from the clear black controller. Often falsely called the "Daiei Hawks" Controller it was never released to celebrate the baseball team, more the store it was sold in.

- The colors are the same as the Daiei store chain logo

- This controller is extremely rare

N64 Jusco Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: JAP

- The Jusco Controller shares the same story as the Daiei Controller

- Along with the matching console It is the N64 Mascot item of the Jusco store chain

- Contrary to the Daiei controller it was released very close to the end of the consoles lifespan and also Jusco stores closed down nationwide.

- There are only a handful in collectors hands.

N64 Hello Mac Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: JAP

- The Hello Mac Controller was a promotional item of Hello Mac stores in Japan. A small family sized store with a logo of a lion sitting in a car, it is also on the controller - Like the Mario Kart Controller it has a black top and grey bottom. You would get this controller for a limited time when buying a N64 System

- Nobody knows why this controller is so incredibly rare but there are only 6 boxed ones known to exist

N64 Geoffrey Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: JAP

- The Geoffrey Controller is the counterpart of the Hello Mac Controller

- It was a promotional item of Toys "R" Us stores in Japan. At the time Toys "R" Us was still expanding in Japan and not widely available, hence it is at least equally rare.

- You also had to buy a system at the time and get the controller for free

- The black top and grey bottom controller has the Geoffrey Giraffe Logo on it

- Over the years many have speculated this one to be even rarer than the Hello Mac

N64 Comboy Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: KOR

- This Controller was only available in Korea. Nintendo had to sell through a different distributor "Hyundai" and rename their product for the Korean Market to Nintendo Comboy

- To this day it is not known if it was available separately, but since a red one was discovered it is highly likely

- The Hyundai Comboy System was not easily available from outside of Korea and floats around on eBay for insane prices sometimes, although the real value is likely to be alot lower

- It is considered a official Nintendo item.

N64 Comboy Red Controller

Quick Facts:

- Release Regions: KOR

- This Controller was only discovered recently and only available in Korea

- Since this controller was not known to be released in a console bundle speculations have been spreading, that there has to be a packaging for it, but it has not been found yet

- At this point it is believed that only the grey and the red one were released in Korea, since red is considered a holy color there, but a blue one has been rumored, time will tell

- It is considered a official Nintendo item.
